How we handle the information schools trust us with.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Information we collect

We collect the information a school provides in order to run its portal: school details, staff accounts, student and guardian records, attendance, assessment results and fee records.

We also collect basic technical information such as sign-in times and device type, used to keep accounts secure.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide the service to the school that supplied it: displaying records to authorised users, generating reports, and sending announcements the school chooses to send.

We do not sell school, staff, guardian or student information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your data

Each school's data is kept separate from every other school. Within a school, access is scoped by role — administrators, teachers, guardians and students each see only what their role permits.

Our staff access a school's data only when the school asks us to, for support or migration work.

Data retention

Records are kept for as long as the school's account is active. When a school closes its account, its data is deleted or exported on request within a reasonable period.

Security

Access requires an invited account. Connections are encrypted in transit, and permissions are enforced on every request rather than only in the interface.

Your rights

Schools may request a copy, correction or deletion of the records they hold in Dreem School. Guardians and staff should direct such requests to their school, which controls the data.
